We were approached by the client in late 2018 to help them lower their energy costs and carbon footprint. We undertook a detailed review of all 13 of the customer’s sites and decided that 5 would benefit from the installation of a combined heat and power system (CHP). With planning consent required at all but one club and the disruption caused by COVID-19 delaying installation, the team worked efficiently to ensure that the last project was commissioned in early 2021.
With the exception of Benton Hall where the unit was installed within an existing plant room, the other four clubs required bespoke weatherproof acoustic enclosures to be built and installed. Each was sympathetically designed to minimise their impact and installed adjacent to existing boiler rooms.
