Discover a powerful, green alternative to conventional CHP
Our Green CHP technology – already configured to use future hydrogen fuel – offers an innovative way to meet your sustainability ambitions. Get in touch to see how certified bio-methane injection can provide a zero carbon alternative to conventional combined heat and power solutions.
Why Green CHP?
Fuelled on bio-methane, our Green CHP uses similar reciprocating gas engine technology to a conventional CHP but takes advantage of certified bio-methane injection to provide a 100% zero carbon solution. It’s important to know that currently, there is no other Green CHP solution available on the market.
Benefits of Green CHP
There is an urgent need for organisations to transition to sustainable energy solutions that mitigate energy costs and regulatory mandates. Our Green CHP OSU model offers a solution to these cost efficiency and operational challenges – plus so much more…
Future-proof energy costs up to 20 years
Lock-in the cost of energy over the long-term and mitigate the risk of rising inflation.
Accelerate net-zero & ESG goals
On-site solar reduces your carbon footprint and has a positive impact on your Scope 2 GHG emissions.
Improve energy resilience
Integrating on-site renewable energy reduces reliance on the grid and offers security of supply.
Satisfy energy compliance
Implementing on-site renewable energy satisfies the demands of ESOS and SECR.
Free-up cash flow
Green CHP is cash positive from day 1 – plus you can keep your capital in the bank.
Demonstrate you’re a sustainable brand
On-site renewables are a visible way to demonstrate your commitment to sustainability.
Am I right for CHP?
Do you have a consistent and substantial demand for both electricity and heat?
Is your annual energy expenditure over £200,000?
Do you operate 24/7 or have high energy use throughout the year?

FAQs
Do I need a specific type of building for a CHP system?
No specific type of building is required, but CHP systems are most effective in facilities with high and consistent energy demands, examples include but are not limited to: hospitals, hotels, and industrial sites.
Do I need planning consent for installing a CHP system?
In most cases, CHP installations are considered permitted developments. However, this may vary based on local regulations and building specifics. We can assist with obtaining any necessary permissions.
What happens if our energy needs change over time?
Our CHP systems are designed to be flexible. If your energy requirements increase or decrease significantly, we can adjust the system or discuss alternative solutions to meet your new demands.
Am I responsible for the operation and maintenance of the CHP system?
No, Eurosite Power provides a fully managed service. We handle all aspects of operation and maintenance to ensure the system runs efficiently throughout the contract term.
Can a CHP system be integrated with other renewable technologies?
Yes, CHP systems can complement other renewable energy solutions such as solar PV. We can design a hybrid system to maximize your energy efficiency and sustainability.
What type of fuel do CHP systems use?
CHP systems typically use natural gas, but they can also operate on biogas or other renewable fuels, depending on availability and your specific requirements.
What happens if our circumstances change and the business has to move out / sell the building during the OSU term?
In most cases we are able to novate the contract to the new building occupier / owner. On the rare occasion this isn’t possible (due to factors such as poor credit of the incoming) then a cancellation fee may be due.
Can we get access to data monitoring?
Yes, absolutely. All data collected from the system can be shared with our customers.
Can a Eurosite OSU model be used to fund the deployment of other technologies?
Yes, currently we have OSU models for Solar and Combined Heat & Power (CHP). We are also able to offer bespoke models for other technologies and we continue to work on expanding our standard offering to heat pumps and EV charging.
