The system consists of a gas treatment unit and two Tedom Cento T80 CHP units with a total power output of 166 kW. The fuel system was designed on the basis of biogas parameters with constantly varying composition and calorific value. If necessary, the system can also use natural gas as a backup fuel. This unique solution has allowed the plant to reduce the consumption of both natural gas and electricity from the grid. The heat produced is used for heating and technological purposes. In addition, the CHP unit serves as a standby power supply for the company in the event of a power outage.
TEDOM, in cooperation with Phoenix Zeppelin Ukraine, supplied the Chips Lux potato chips maker with a system to use the biogas energy plant produced from the waste from potatoes processing.
