TEDOM develops gas heat pump with direct evaporation

TEDOM has been working on the development of the prototype of a gas heat pump with direct evaporation. The project "TA04020173 / Development of a new cooling equipment with a direct evaporation and a gas-fired combustion engine" is being dealt with with the financial support of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic.

The development of this equipment will push the possibilities of using gas heat pumps in various industrial plants further. The programme for the support of applied research and experimental development called “ALFA” is the first programme at all prepared by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Environment. It emphasizes the strengthening of public-private sector cooperation in research, development and innovation and the consistent requirement for co-financing of research, development and innovation projects from non-public sources.

The programme thematically supports projects of applied research and experimental development in the areas of progressive technologies, the environment and energy and transport. These areas are projected into a programme structure dividing it into three sub-programmes, the development of a prototype of a gas heat pump with direct evaporation belongs into the second one: “Energy sources and environmental protection and creation“.

For more information on the ongoing project, please see here, the information on the ALFA programme is available on the web site of Technology Agency of the Czech Republic .
